Introduction

While doing purchases for your facility, you may need not only physical items and goods, but also services — work performed by a third party rather than a product delivered to your store. A purchased service could be anything from equipment maintenance and calibration, to consultancy, transport, or repair work. Like items and goods, services must be registered in Inaya before they can be requested, purchased, and accounted for.

A registered service record keeps track of:

• What the service is, and what category it falls under

• The unit it is measured or billed in

• A description of what the service covers

• The accounting account used to record its cost
